Introducing BlockDown: Six Shots, One Skyline

Most demolition games hand you a toolbox and all the time you want. BlockDown does the opposite. You get one skyline, six shots, and a leaderboard that forgets everyone at midnight.

It is a daily challenge in the browser. The city is built from blocks. The towers are tall, the streets are small, and a helicopter putters over the rooftops while you decide where the first shot should land.

Play it now at blockdown.funaticgames.chatgpt.site.

Six shots, and then you’re done

A round starts with a full kit:

  • Precision. Three instant hits. No arc, no timing. The shot lands inside the crosshair.
  • Blast. Two area shots. They travel on an arc, and centering the timing rings adds blast radius and force.
  • Heavy. One shot, the largest of the three, on a higher arc with faster rings.

That is the whole budget. Aim by tapping or dragging across the city, then fire. A shot that finds a building shows the target and the distance. A shot that finds the street is simply gone.

The timing rings are the skill on Blast and Heavy. Match both and the shot hits harder: more radius, more force. Rush it and you still get the blast, just not the best version of it.

What a hit is worth

The city is large. Thousands of blocks are still standing at the end of a careful round, so the fun is not in erasing the map. It is in choosing a target and making the shot land.

After the sixth shot the skyline settles, and the round is scored. The results break the city into blocks that shattered, blocks that toppled, and blocks still standing, then rate the round on demolition, accuracy, and speed. On target matters. So does how quickly you used the kit.

When the kit reads empty, the game counts the final collapse and saves the run if it is your best of the day.

One board, reset at midnight

There is no account. You pick a name, it stays on the device, and your best run is the one that counts. The daily high scores show the top 100, best score per player, and they reset at midnight Vancouver time.

A good score is more fun if someone else has to look at it. Share your best collapse and BlockDown builds a challenge: your points, a replay of the shots, a link a friend can open, and a score card to download. They can play immediately. No signup, no install.

Where it goes from here

BlockDown is playable and still in development. The daily shape is the part we care about most: one skyline, a small kit, a score worth defending, and a reason to come back tomorrow.
